Studio Italia presents new design icons that blend tradition and state-of-the-art technology.

Since 1950, the Venice based studio has elevated the ‘Made in Italy’ mark with its custom-made creations that consistently present modern lighting design to architects, designers and design lovers across 90 countries.

With affinities in the age old craft of Murano glass, each Studio Italia piece represents the brand’s commitment to excellence and innovation, while bring the vision of collaborating designers to fruition.

At Downtown Design 2017, the atelier exemplifies its mission statement with a selection of new works. Designed by Dima Loginoff, Nostalgia blends retro design sensibilities and modern lines, delivering avant-garde lighting technology in a beautiful composition of blow glass that would light up a luxurious home and hotel atrium alike.

Andrea Tosetto employed laser cutting to a simple and timeless design to create an intriguing play of light and shade for her work, Kelly, while the Taiwanese designer Chia-Ying Lee explores the classical arts of blown glass, melting it to create a contemporary composition with Random.

Be it a table lamp, a wall fitting or large-scale suspended lighting installations, Studio Italia’s commitment to quality is second to none. Only the finest materials - hand-blown Murano glass diffusers, stainless steel, brass and aluminium accents in a variety of finishes – inform their exceptional works.
