Karim & Elias

KARIM+ELIAS is a UAE-based design studio founded by Karim Tamerji and Elias El Hage. The team bring together years of individual expertise across fine arts, interior and product design, architecture, site-specific installations, digital design, and mural art. Their collaborative practice is rooted in a deep appreciation for materiality—particularly sand, which they explore for its timeless, universal significance.

Inspired by the studio’s immediate surroundings and the historical landscapes of desert sands, KARIM+ELIAS emerged with a clear vision: to translate natural terrains into evocative design. Following their debut installation at Downtown Design 2022, the duo began crafting sculptural pieces and spatial experiences that reinterpret fragments of Dubai and beyond—shaping modern-day relics from landscapes around the world.
